SRFax Review

It is easy to send and receive faxes using the Internet Fax services provided by SRFax, and if you are used to using email then you will find online faxing familiar, as it is based on a very similar system.

Sending and Receiving Faxes

SRFax offers you three ways in which you can send and receive faxes to and from other numbers (both online accounts and conventional fax machines), and you can send faxes from your desktop, via the website or through your email inbox:

•    Website – you can log onto your SRFax account through any web enabled computer or laptop, and from there you can send and receive emails using the online navigator and control panel.  There are useful step-by-step instructions on the website to help you to send, receive, forward and view your faxes.

•    Email – it is easy to send faxes via email, and SRFax is compatible with all client and web based email accounts and no additional software downloads are required.  Email faxing with SRFax supports a multitude of file formats from Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel etc) through to PDF, JPG, HTML and many more.  To send a fax via email all you need to do is open up a new email window, and then in the ‘TO’ field you type in the destination number (including an area codes or other prefixes) followed by ‘@srfax.com’.  Then you attach the document you want to send as a digital file, type any additional messages in the main email field and then click on ‘SEND’.  The fax will then be sent via email to SRFax processing server where it will automatically be converted into the correct format to be transmitted to the fax destination number you have input.  You can attach as many file documents as you like to the same email, and they will be delivered to the recipient number in the same order in which you attached them.

Features

SRFax offers a number of features with their services, which can provide a high level of fax functionality for both business and residential users:

•    Toll Free or Local Numbers – you can choose local numbers in the cities covered by SRFax’s services, or select a toll free number to provide the best value service for your customers or contacts.

•    Junk Fax Filters – junk faxes can be very irritating and can use up incoming fax limits on those accounts that have specific fax per month restrictions, so SRFax provide screening filters to help you control the amount of junk faxes you receive.  You can divert junk faxes to a separate inbox, where they will be held for 30 days before being deleted.

•    Multiple Email Accounts – you can add multiple email accounts to your SRFax service and this means you can use both client based and free online web based accounts to send and receive faxes online.

•    Online Storage – you can store your faxes online with SRFax for up to 1 year, and this will save you having to print faxes off or move them to your hard drive for safe keeping.

•    Security – you can ensure that your private and confidential faxes are kept secure, as SRFax have all of the latest account privacy (password log ins and secure email) and data transfer protection measures in place.
